COVID Protocols

Moving Forward:
The State of Rhode Island is now reporting lower positive COVID cases, hospitalizations and a better vaccine roll out. With this information we will begin blow-drying on Saturday March 20, 2021. Although many of us are excited about this, we know that some of you may have some apprehensions. If you feel more comfortable limiting your time in the salon you can opt-out of the blow dry.

The safety of our guests and team will always be our top priority. The Salon recently purchased a medical grade H13 true HEPA air purifier as an extra precaution. In addition to the changes made when we reopened, the Ky Michaels Salon will be conducting on-site testing for all of our employees on a weekly basis supported by the RI Department of Health. We will continue to screen all guests and take temperatures.

What's Familiar:
The Covid-19 protocols that were put into place June 2020 will remain in order to keep our community safe and healthy. Everyone will be wearing face masks and we will require that you do as well. (We promise we are smiling under our masks and happy to see you.) The Salon is still operating at reduced capacity from 8 stations to 5 stations. The middle sink has been removed as we've built a partition to create privacy and a barrier between our sinks. The waiting area was removed due to state regulations. Unfortunately, we are not allowing eating or drinking in the salon and are unable to offer snacks and beverages.

We still ask that you please come to your appointment alone. We will only be allowing people with scheduled appointments into the salon. Only bring along the essentials with you. Please arrive at the time of your appointment as you will be asked to wait outside. A team member will be out to greet you, ask a few health screening questions and take your temperature. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or above will be rescheduled a minimum of 14 days later. If you would like to purchase retail, your stylist can take care of this during your service.
